Bihar Animal Science University (BASU) is a state university built up in 2016 and headquartered at Patna. It has been removed from the Bihar Rural University as two of its constituent colleges at Patna for example Bihar Veterinary College and Sanjay Gandhi Establishment of Dairy Technology have been moved to the BASU.
